I began my career as an analyst for a boutique wealth management firm based outside of Washington, D.C.  I was able to apply the knowledge I gained through my dual degree in International Business and Finance from American University to analyzing portfolio construction, reviewing consolidated performance reports, and valuing and depreciating personal assets that sometimes went into these reports for our ultra high net worth clients.  After spending about 8 years with this firm working in both their D.C. and NYC offices, I realized that the world of hedge funds and private equity for the ultra-wealthy was not where I wanted to spend my life.

I had a strong desire to take this powerful skillset and share it with individuals, in whose lives I could make a real difference.  In order to do this properly, I had to step out of the analyst role and into a client facing role where I could use those analytical skills combined with my love of helping others to provide an experience beyond what is expected out of a normal stockbroker. I spent close to ten years at some of the largest Wall Street and ‘Off’ Wall Street firms perfecting my trade, managing portfolios and strategies, guiding clients through the ups and downs of life and markets, sometimes being that shoulder to lean on, and building a client base that I truly cared about.

Through my unique experiences, I have been able to bring together the science of analysis and product knowledge with the art of relationship management in a beautiful way. Not only can I put together a strong financial plan for my clients, but I can guide them through the details in a way that allows them to embrace it as a plan for their life.
